Amanda Detmer made her screen debut in the 1995 made-for-TV film “Stolen Innocence,” followed by a role in the TV drama “To Serve and Protect” four years later. Also in 1999, Amanda Detmer made her big screen debut in the beauty pageant comedy “Drop Dead Gorgeous,” wherein she played Miss Minneapolis. She also appeared in the comedy drama film “A Little Inside” and two episodes of “Ryan Caulfield: Year One” in 1999. By the start of the millennium, Amanda Detmer appeared in the box office feature film “Final Destination” and made a two-episode appearance as Lisa Overbeck in the sitcom “M.Y.O.B.”

2001 was a big year for Amanda Detmer. She appeared in two feature films – the comedy romance flick “Saving Silverman” and Jim Carrey’s romance-drama “The Majestic.” That same year, Amanda Detmer ranked #17 in Stuff Magazine’s “101 Sexiest Women. She also appeared at the MN’s Guthrie Theater as Mozart’s Wife in the production of “Amadeus” in August 2001.

In 2002, Amanda Detmer played Jennifer Langson in the mystery film “Last Seen” and appeared in the comedy flicks “Big Fat Liar” and “Kiss the Bride.” Amanda Detmer continued to appear in various made-for-TV films and TV series in 2003 and 2004. Some of the telefilms and movies Amanda Detmer appeared in during this period include “All Grown Up” (2003), “Patching Cabbage” (2003), “Picking Up & Dropping Off” (2003), “Extreme Dating” (2004), “Weekends” (2004) and “Portrait” (2004). She also appeared in several TV series, such as “A.U.S.A.,” “Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye,” “Miss Match,” and “CSI: Miami.”

In 2005 and 2006, Amanda Detmer joined the cast of several films, including “Lucky 13,” “Alone in a Crowd,” “Final Move,” “Jam” and “You, Me and Dupree.” She also starred in the made-for-TV drama “Proof of Lies” as Christine Hartley in 2006. That same year, she won the role of Deena Greco in the ABC drama series “What about Brian,” appearing until the show ended in March 2007. In November 2007, Amanda appeared as the “Duchess of Shrewsbury” in the production of “Grand Delusions” at the Lost Studio in Los Angeles.

After starring in “What about Brian,” Amanda Detmer continued to work on the small screen, appearing in the made-for-TV films “1321 Clover,” “Making it Legal” and “Single with Parents.” She also guest-starred in the long-running legal drama series “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” and “Psych.” Amanda also joined the cast of the 2008 movie “American Crude” and guest-starred in the TV series “Medium.” In 2009, Detmer portrayed Morgan Gellman on four episodes of the ABC medical drama “Private Practice”
